For all interested parents (dads AND moms) who are not trained, here's a great opportunity.  You learn the Scout basics in a classroom environment, and then spend a weekend at Schiff learning hands-on skills.  HIGHLY recommended!

posted Dec 21, 2011 1:09 PM by Seamus Healey   [ updated Dec 24, 2011 6:22 AM by David Plass ]

33rd ANNUAL PEQUOTT DISTRICT

AQUATIC MEET

 BAHAMIAN “JUNKANOO”

Join us for the 33rd Annual Pequott Aquatic Meet.  Saturday, January 14th, 2012, at Chaminade High School.

Doors will open at 9:30 AM and end approximately at 1:30 P.M.

All scouts and scouters are invited to participate.

Please bring in your Permission form to our 1/5/12 Scout meeting.

See attachments !

The Aquatic Meet is a fun time for everyone.  It is a chance for many different troops to meet, interact and compete, as well an opportunity for each troop to work on their teamwork, learn more about each other and to challenge themselves to do their best.  So, join in the fun and bring your Troop swimmers and nonswimmers.  There is an event for everyone.  Please plan to arrive by 9:30 A.M.  An open swim period will start at 9:45.  The meet will begin at 10:00 A.M. and finish at 1:30 P.M.  There are awards for the first, second and third place Troops in each event and participation patches for everyone!

Scouts should not bring anything of value to the meet with them (lockers are not available).  A bottle of water might be a good idea.  We suggest that the adults leave their valuables with other adults in the spectator area.

Please remember that all participants and leaders must either be barefoot or wearing pool shoes on the pool level.

Please see attachments for permission form and also schedule for events !!!

Patrol leaders should discuss with their Patrols who would like to sign up for events!!!!
