Merit Badge Workshops, Sept - Oct Registration, Friday, Sept 2, 9am

Registration for all September and October Merit Badge Workshops is open Friday Sept 2, 9am - Sept 30. Courses will fill up fast so check as soon as you can if interested. Dates, available courses and registration can be found HERE.  


 

First Troop meeting, Thursday, Sept. 8, 7:30pm **MANDATORY**

This will be a mandatory meeting, it is VERY IMPORTANT that all scouts and scouters attend this meeting. There are many important subjects to cover for the year including troop elections.

Please do not miss this meeting, it will be one of the most if not the most important meeting of the year.


 

Troop Dues, Thursday, Sept. 8, 7:30pm

Do to increases in registration/chartering costs by BSA National, troop dues will be going up to $125 for the year. Dues is due in September and can be payed at any troop meeting. Please pay your dues as soon as possible to help keep the troop funded.


 

Philadelphia Family Day Trip, Saturday, Oct. 1

The troop with families will be taking a day trip hike to Philadelphia on October 1. We will be driving down in cars, going on one of several historical hikes and enjoying the birthplace of our nation. More details will be coming in the next couple of week so please save the date.  


 

Scout and Scouter Training Opportunities

 

National Youth Leadership Training

Will be held this year at Schiff Scout reservation on October 8, 9, 10, 15,16, split up over two weekends.  National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT) is an exciting, action packed program designed to provide youth members with leadership skills and experiences they can use in their home troops, teams, crews, personal lives, and in other situations demanding leadership of self and others. Scouts must be 13yo and First Class to attend or with approval of Mr Hanley. All registrations require a letter of recommendation from your Scoutmaster.  

The fee for this years program is $320  including all course material and all meals with a $50 deposit due at registration. Full payment is due Sept 15. The registration form and more details are available HERE.

 

Scoutmaster Fundamentals / Troop Committee Adult Leader Training, Saturday, Sept. 10, 8:00am - 3:30pm

For Scoutmasters, Assistant Scoutmasters, and youth (at least 16 years old) holding the JASM position in the troop and Committee members are encouraged to take this training to learn how a troop operates and to help you provide better program support. Cost is $10/$15, more details and registration is HERE.
