Honor Court, Troop meeting, Thursday, Oct. 8, 7:00pm

All parents and family be sure to join us in recognizing all the hard work and  achievements attained by all the boys these past few months. Patrols have been assigned responsibilities for this Honor Court, patrol leaders please be sure to contact your patrols.

Ben's patrol is to bring drinks(water and juice) and cakes or cookies, and Ryan's patrol is to bring chips, pretzels, and fruit. Contact Mrs. Leisenring if you have questions.

Yearly Dues, Troop meeting, Thursday, Oct. 8, 7:00pm

If you have not done already please remember to bring your dues payments.

This year’s dues of $100 is due and can be paid this Thursday at the troop meeting. It can be paid in full, ½ now ½ later or $20 per week till paid via cash or check made out to “BSA Troop 577”. The troop needs these funds to keep running so please be sure to pay your dues promptly.

Camp Hero Camping Trip, Oct. 17-18

The troop will be overnight camping at Camp Hero State Park in Montauk on the weekend of Oct. 17 - 18. We are leaving at 7am Saturday from Newbridge Road School and returning around 1pm Sunday. Cost will be $15 for scouts and adults. Bring a bag lunch, a day pack and water for Saturday’s hike. Permission slips found HERE and money are due Sept. 17. See Mr. Massoni for questions.

Scout and Scouter Training Opportunities

Pine Tree Training: BB Gun, Oct. 10, 8:30am to 1:00pm

Come out and enjoy a fun-filled morning, afternoon, or all-day shooting Crossman .177 cal Pellet rifles. Webelos and Boy Scouts.  Price $4. Online registration is HERE.

Den Chief Training, Saturday, Oct.10., 8:30am to 1:00pm

Scouts learn how to assist with Cub Scout packs, a great way to increase or ranks. More details to come. Training will be held at Community Church of East Williston, 45 East Williston Avenue, East Williston, NY 11596. Cost is $10 per scout, online registration can be found HERE.

Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills, Oct. 17-18

This is an outdoor training intended to prepare you for implementing the outing in scouting. It is the follow up to Scoutmaster Fundamentals and will be held at Schiff Scout Reservation. The $37 cost for the weekend includes all food and training materials. Online registration is HERE.
