Hi Troop 577,

  • Departure will be this Sunday from the Newbridge Road School parking lot promptly at 7am. Be sure to bring a bag lunch, we will eat there when we get squared away.

  • Trunk drop off will be this Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at Mr. O’Hea’s house. Please call before stopping by. Checklists for truck packing are available HERE. Also consider a chair for sitting around the fire, mosquito netting to keep the bugs off from above, a ground cloth to keeps critters out from below and a small tent fan. Be sure your name is on EVERYThING, trunk, toiletries, hats, socks, boots, water bottle, sleeping bag, pillow, towels, etc.etc.etc! Keep your trunk lock in the your trunk with your combination on a sheet of paper, do not lock your trunk.

  • Scouts will be allowed to bring bicycles this year, BMX or mountain bikes only, no road bikes. Bikes must be in good, safe, working order with functioning brakes and scouts MUST HAVE helmets. Bikes can be dropped off at Mr. O’Hea’s house when you drop off your trunks. Scout’s helmets must be dropped off with the bike or the bike WILL NOT be accepted.

  • We will be doing a special Scouting for Food on our way to camp to help the communities surrounding Onteora Scout reservation. Please bring canned foods when you drop off your trunks or on Sunday before we go. The more the better, so please ask family, friends and neighbors for food donations.

  • Mrs. Kulins has class B t-shirts available if needed for camp. They are cotton shirts of the following sizes for the prices indicated (M,L, XL- $10 /2XL,3XL- $13). You can text your name and size to her and they can be picked up at the Kulins’ house, with a check made out to the troop.
