COMMUNITY SERVICE

Thank you to all the Scouts and adults who served at Scouting for Food on Saturday.  Our tally will be announced at our next meeting!  A special thanks to the families who stayed beyond their shift to cover all the bases.

We are serving at the Farmingdale Soup Kitchen in March and April.  This is a great opportunity that many of you have expressed an interest in.  It is important that we commit to the needs expressed by the soup kitchen quickly and certainly.

The dates and members needed are as follows:

Sunday, March 9 (next week!):
4 Scouts
2 Male adults

Sunday, March 23:
5 Scouts
2 Male adults
1 Female adult

Sunday, April 6:
8 Scouts
2 Male adults
All others interested

The service runs from 11:30 am to 3 pm and will consist of set up, serving meals, and clean up.  We have the chance to actually cook the meals served at our last service period, based on your feedback from the first service date.

Permission slips are on-line.  Please bring to our Honor Court March 6.  Since our first date (March 9) is this coming Sunday, I greatly appreciate your response via e-mail or phone for that date prior to Honor Court, and apologize for my late notice.

Mrs. Schwartz
