Summer Camp First Payment Past Due!!
Resica Falls Scout Reservation summer camp first payment of $100 along with permission slips was due at the troop meeting last Thursday.
 


2015 Camporee Patch Competition, Due Feb. 13, 2015
Please remember to bring in your ideas, sketches, finished designs for the Camporee patch to this Thursday’s meeting. The winning Scout’s Units will receive bonus points of 25, 15 or 10 points towards their final Camporee score. Also, all entries earn 2 points per scout entry for their unit. This single item could be the difference between finishing in the top 3 or not. Designs must be submitted no later than February 13th, 2015, this Friday. Full details of the patch requirements can be found HERE. Blue Nose Camping Trip, Onteora Scout Reservation Feb. 14-16
The troop has our yearly “Blue Nose” camping trip planned at Onteora Scout Reservation for Feb. 14 to Feb. 16. We are leaving 6am Saturday and returning around 1pm Monday. Current cold weather training certification is required. Permission slips, available HERE, and the $35 fee are already past due. Contact Mr. Kullins with any questions.
 

 
Islander Game Outing, Thursday, Feb. 19, 5PM
The troop will be attending an Islander vs Nashville Predators game instead of having a troop meeting on Thursday, Feb. 19. This will be a Friends and Family event so bring everyone along. If you know a boy who may be interested in joining the troop be sure to invite them. Cost will be $20 per person; leaving from Newbridge Road School at 5pm. Permission slips available HERE were due at last week’s troop meeting, Feb. 5. Contact Mr. Harrington with any questions.
 

The Amazing Race, Scout Edition, March 7
Have you ever imagined yourself racing around the world, competing against other teams in a series of challenges as you reach each destination, just like the TV show?  Even if you haven't, this event, taking place in and around the towns of Nassau County, will inspire and amaze you, and you'll have fun while doing it!
 
It all takes place Saturday, March 7th, starting and ending at the Cradle of Aviation museum in Garden City.  Pre-registration is mandatory and the registration deadline is March 2nd so don't delay, as the number of teams will be limited.
 
There will be patches for all participants and prizes for the winners.  A registration form with details about this exciting event can be viewed by clicking HERE.  Online registration is also available by clicking HERE.

Training Opportunities

Scoutmaster  or Committee Member training is coming up on March 7, details can be found HERE. NOTE: JASM's are able to take the Scoutmaster course now.

Den Chief Training is coming up on April 11, registration can be found HERE. It is $10 for the course.
