Durland Hiking 5/12-13/2012

May 12th – 13th, 2012/ Durland S.R. (Clear Lake)

The troop was lucky this trip with great weather and greater food. Most of the younger boys hiked with their backpacks filled with gear, but the older boys were allowed to go on the 10-11 mile hike to the campsite. It was a good, scenic hike except for the fact that I, Brian M., single-handedly turned it into 12-13 mile hike by misreading the map which earned me my new nickname, Wrongway, from Mr. Brenner. Besides the getting lost bit, I can safely say that everyone who went on the trip had a great time partially due to the sunny, warm weather and our great campsite on the lake.
