Orienteering 11/2011

Everyone who attended this outing completed a nice, short orienteering course through Muttontown Nature Preserve which is really great in the fall. Some of the WEBELOS and their parents from Cub Scout Packs 313 & 577 joined us on the course which allowed them to learn to use a map and compass to orienteer as well as letting them get signed off on a requirement to get the ‘Arrow of Light’ award. The good thing was, though, that (thank goodness) we didn’t have any casualties.
